Here Is Some Food For Thought When You Want To Carry Food On Your Next Flight.

These days you have to pay for your meals on most flights. Plus, the food is strictly functional, nothing yummy right? Wouldn’t it be better for you to carry your own food the next time you board a flight? After all, you are saving money and also your palate with unappetizing meals. So, what’s the solution? Simple, carry your own food the next time you get on a flight. Here are the best foods to carry with you on your next flight:

Fruit punch for your flights

An apple a day keeps the hunger away. If you are catching a short and sweet flight, then apples, banana, oranges and berries are great options. After all, they are easy to store and eat. Plus they are healthy. If you want to give it a little twist, you can carry some lime to squeeze on top or carry small sachets of peanut butter or condiments to give it the extra zest or flavour. In no time, you will have your very own fruit salad. Just a word of caution, fruits are not advised for longer flights as they tend to get spoilt and they won’t be allowed to get past the customs in a lot of countries.

 Don’t carry gravy

Don’t carry any food with gravy. That’s the last thing you want on a flight as it might leak in your bag or might spill on your clothes considering there might be some air turbulence. Plus the seating arrangement in most aircraft is not too comfy or roomy for you to enjoy a full-fledged meal. So keep the curry in the kitchen.

 Dry fruits

Walnuts, almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios have tons of vital nutrients and are a great way to control the hunger pangs. Carry a small tin with these dry fruits and mix them with spices like salt, pepper, garlic powder, chilli flakes and other herbs of your choice. And there you are, a wholesome and flavourful meal is ready.

 Healthy wafers and chips

Unlike the unhealthy potato chips of yesteryears, these days you have plenty of multi-grain chips, which are available in most supermarkets and airport retail stores. Plus, some of these chips are now baked instead of being fried, which is great news for those who are health-conscious and are always on the move.

 The fortune cookies

Cookies pack a punch for your hunger as they come in so many different preparations, options and ingredients. These days you have the low calories and sugar-free variety, which you can bite anywhere and anytime.
