1.Kiosco Morisco

Located in the Santa Maria la Ribera neighbourhood, this iron kiosk has mysterious origins sometimes attributed to Chinese or Moorish influences. It is worth a see as “the Mexican Alhambra”.

2.Planetero Luis Enrique Erro

Because of its location in the shadier part of Mexico City, this planetarium is usually missed. The oldest planetarium in Latin America has much to offer with exhibits, interactive games and a close-up encounter with stars and outer space.

3.San Juan Market

Experience this traditional flea market with many fourth-generation European origin vendors, which present you with an array of exotic foods like lion meat and baby goat meat.

4.Audiorama

Enclosed and nestled in the green heart of Chapultepec Park, this outdoor space is a great place to nap and relax for busy visitors to the city. Often used for classical music events, the Audiorama is a cosy nook in a densely populated city centre.

5.Pabellon Coreano (The Korean Pavillion)

The Chapultepec Park also houses this haven of peace built to mark 100 years of Korean migrants in Mexico. A replica of a South Korean pagoda, it also has many restaurants with authentic Korean cuisine.

6.Calle Donceles

Known for its used books, this alley has Spanish literature and books that are locally very popular. Worth a visit for the sheer experience of it.

7.Casa del Arbol

A wonderful example of green architecture, the log cabins in this forest are built in harmony with the landscape of the area. A quirky space and sound built for music recordings by classical musicians, Casa del Arbol is a once in a lifetime experience.

8.El Chopo Tanguis

A weekend flea market started in the 80s for music lovers is a symbol of counterculture in present Mexico. A great bargain for rare vinyl music, books on radical politics, open consumption of alcohol and weed and performance by alternative musicians, El Chopo is the hot spot for young and old underground culture.

9.Biblioteca Vasconcelos

Popularly known as “the mega-library”, the Biblioteca covers 38,000 square metres in downtown Mexico City.  Surrounded by alluring gardens, this imposing structure will make browsing in a library an enthralling adventure.

10.Colonia San Rafael

One of the 19th century neighbourhoods built for the rich, present San Rafael has a quirky feel with the mix of old architecture and new art. This locale has many restaurants, which are well known for their price and authentic taste.
